What Is Our Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?
Our minimum production starts from 3,000 pieces per design, but the most cost-efficient pricing is achieved at 20,000 pieces per design. Delivery costs also vary by quantity — while we can ship any quantity by sea or air, full container loads (20ft or 40ft FCL) offer the lowest per-unit freight costs.
For Jacquard kitchen towels, the minimum order is 5,000 pieces per design due to the higher production waste and setup costs involved. For accurate pricing, we recommend sending us 2–3 different quantity options; we’ll quote each one separately so you can compare.
What Is the Standard Size of a Kitchen Towel?
Kitchen towels are produced in various standard sizes depending on the market and usage. Common sizes include:
35 x 50 cm, 40 x 60 cm, 50 x 70 cm, 65 x 65 cm, 70 x 70 cm, 60 x 80 cm, and 50 x 100 cm.
The most frequently used size for printed promotional towels is 40 x 60 cm.
What Materials Are Used for Kitchen Towels?
Kitchen towels and tea towels are typically made from 100% cotton, 100% linen, or a cotton-linen blend. We use a variety of cotton yarn types, depending on the quality and price point:
Open End (Autocoro) Yarn – Low-cost yarn that may include a small percentage of polyester; often sold as 100% cotton.
Carded Cotton Yarn – 100% cotton, but made from recycled or waste cotton fibers; budget-friendly option.
Ring Spun Cotton Yarn – Premium yarn made from fresh cotton; highly absorbent and soft, ideal for high-end kitchen towels.
Linen Yarn – More durable and absorbent than cotton, but also more expensive.
For a balance between performance and price, many brands choose cotton-linen blends. They offer the look and durability of linen with more affordable pricing.
What Is a Yarn Dyed Kitchen Towel?
Yarn dyed towels are woven using yarns that have been dyed before weaving. This method produces long-lasting color patterns and is common in higher-end kitchen towels. The most widely used dyeing method is cone dyeing, where the entire cone of yarn is dyed for better consistency.
This method is more expensive than using undyed yarn, so most budget kitchen towels use loose dyed yarns. Cities like Multan (Pakistan) and Karur (India) are well-known hubs for producing yarn dyed kitchen towels at competitive prices.
How Are Promotional Printed Kitchen Towels Produced?
Promotional printed towels are typically made using plain cotton fabric ranging from 140 to 250 GSM. The raw fabric is first bleached or dyed, then printed using custom artwork or branding. For printing, fabric is woven more tightly to provide a smoother, clearer finish.
These towels are cost-effective and can be produced in smaller quantities compared to yarn dyed towels, making them ideal for giveaways and marketing campaigns.
What Types of Printing Are Used?
The most common printing technique for kitchen towels is silk screen printing, which allows designs to be transferred using water-based or oil-based pigment pastes. The number of screens used depends on the number of colors in the design — this defines the initial setup cost.
Other methods include:
Rotary Printing – Ideal for larger volumes (min. 20,000 pieces) and consistent high-speed production.
Heat Transfer & Digital Printing – Used for complex designs or photographic prints, but less common in kitchen linen.
Screen printing is suitable for minimums as low as 500 pieces per design, offering flexibility for promotional orders or limited-edition runs.
