What is a Hotel Towel?
Hotel towels are specially made to be more durable than regular household towels. They’re designed to withstand daily industrial washing at high temperatures, often with chlorine, without losing strength or structure. These towels are made from higher-grade, long-lasting yarn. The softness and quality can vary depending on the hotel’s standard — for example, 5-star hotels usually offer plusher towels compared to 2- or 3-star properties due to their higher budget allocation.

Pricing & Delivery Information
Our towel prices are based on calculations from September 2021 for bulk orders of 20 FCL (Full Container Load), which typically includes 7,000 to 8,000 bath towels. Smaller quantities are available but may have slightly higher per-unit costs. All prices are quoted FOB Karachi, Pakistan, and customized packaging is available at an additional charge.
Please note that these prices are for estimation only — final pricing may vary slightly depending on the confirmed quantity and sample approval. We can also offer Door Delivery (DDU or DDP) pricing options upon request for convenience.
As a general estimate:
2,000 Bath Towels delivered to the EU or USA may cost around $2,000
A full container load (20 FCL) may cost approximately $3,000 delivered
There is 0% import duty on towels imported into the EU, and only 6% duty in the USA for products from Pakistan. All our towels are Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certified, with GOTS Organic and GRS Recycled towel options also available.
How Is a Towel Produced?
Towel production differs from standard fabric weaving. While normal woven fabric uses two yarns (warp and weft), towels require a third yarn to create the signature terry loops. These loops, also called the towel’s “pile,” are key to both absorbency and softness. The finer and more upright the loops, the better the towel feels and performs.
What Determines the Quality of a Bath Towel?
The quality of a towel is primarily based on two things: absorbency and softness. These are influenced by several factors — the most important being the yarn.
Yarn Quality
Yarn plays the most crucial role in towel manufacturing. The type and thickness of the yarn, as well as the quality of cotton used to make it, directly affect the towel’s durability and feel. While some low-cost towels use cheaper yarn made from leftover or low-grade cotton, premium towels are made from high-quality cotton like Egyptian or Pima, which are known for their softness and strength.
Bamboo yarn is also popular in high-end towels due to its exceptional softness, absorbency, and antibacterial properties. In most towels, two yarns form the base (ground), while the third forms the loop (pile). To improve softness and durability, a better quality yarn should always be used for the loop. For high-end towels like jacquard or luxury bathrobes, double yarns are often used to ensure the loops stand upright even after repeated washes.

Towel Weight (GSM)
Towel weight is measured in GSM (grams per square meter) and typically ranges from 250 to 1200 GSM. Heavier towels are more absorbent and feel more luxurious, but also cost more. Choosing the right weight depends on your target customer’s preferences and price sensitivity. Thicker yarns used in heavier towels also contribute to a plush appearance.
Dyeing & Color Quality
Towel dyeing impacts both colorfastness and safety. For long-lasting color, especially when towels are washed with chlorine at high temperatures (as in hotels), Indanthrene dyes are preferred. For safety and environmental standards, we recommend reactive or vat dyes certified under Oeko-Tex® Standard 100.
White towels are the most absorbent. Dark-colored towels may absorb slightly less water, while printed towels significantly reduce absorbency. We strongly recommend embroidery or yarn-dyed designs over printing to preserve the towel’s performance.
Can You Embroider on Towels?

What Is a Jacquard Towel?
A Jacquard towel has a design woven directly into the fabric — such as logos, images, or text — using dyed yarns. These designs can be tone-on-tone or multicolor. Since yarn-dyeing is more expensive than fabric dyeing, multicolor Jacquard towels are usually higher priced. Jacquard machines are used to create these complex woven patterns.
Jacquard vs. Dobby Towels
Dobby towels use a simpler weaving machine and are best for borders or basic text and logo designs. The traditional Greek border, for example, is made using a Dobby machine. In short, Jacquard is for complex, full designs, while Dobby is for simple accents or borders.
